We’re thinking about hosting a monthly movie at our church for the purpose of discussing current issues and their relatedness to faith. While we’re not trying to just hit hot-button or controversial issues, we want to show and discuss movies that have some substance and message. I hope it’s another medium to discuss the Gospel and its implications. Anybody got a good movie to recommend? Here’s what I’m thinking about so far…
- Waiting For Superman
- 58
- Courageous
- Babies
- Kimjongillia
- Beyond the Gates of Splendor
Please comment back on what movies you’d recommend and what is noteworthy about them! (Note: we anticipate the age range for this to be from high school and up, so family appropriate would be helpful).
I think babies was interesting, but there might have been some nudity (breastfeeding) which might not be appropriate.
The Invention of Lying.
